Born at Kattoor in Kerala and ordained in 1893, he taught seminarians at Santa Cruz, Kochi, was mission superior for Trivandrum and Neyattinkara and forane vicar for three districts, and founded the Visitation Congregation of Alleppey, which names him on its own site as its founder and a Servant of God. The Holy See gave the nihil obstat for his cause in 2014.
