Who they were
Serapion was Bishop of Antioch from 190 to 211. He wrote against the Montanist heresy and warned the Christians of Rhossus that the so-called Gospel of Peter was false.
He is commemorated in the Roman Martyrology on 30 October.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
