Who they were
Serviliano Riaño Herrero was born at Prioro in the province and diocese of León on 22 April 1916 and made his first religious profession on 15 August 1933. Arrested on 15 October 1936 and killed at Paracuellos de Jarama on 28 November following, he was beatified with the Spanish martyrs of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate on 17 December 2011 by Benedict XVI.
