Who they were

At Córdoba in Andalusia in Spain, the holy martyrs Rogelius, an elderly monk, and Servus Dei ('Abdallah), a young man, who, having come from the East, and condemned to death for having courageously preached Christ before the Saracens, had their hands and feet cut off without any yielding on their part and finally died by beheading.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 16 September as a young man martyred at Córdoba for preaching Christ before the Saracens.
