Who they were

At Córdoba in Andalusia in Spain, the holy martyrs Gumesindus, priest, and Servus Dei, monk, who, having professed themselves Christians before the leaders and judges of the Moors, died for faith in Christ.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 13 January as a monk of Córdoba who died for faith in Christ after professing himself a Christian before the Moorish judges.
