Séverin Girault

Who they were
Georges Girault was born in the archdiocese of Rouen, Father Séverin of the Franciscan Third Order, confessor to the Sisters of St Elizabeth in Paris, according to the papal letter that beatified him.
He was killed in Paris in September 1792, one of 191 priests, religious and laymen put to death in hatred of the faith for refusing the oath that the revolutionary government demanded of the clergy. Pius XI declared them Blessed on 17 October 1926.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
