Severus of Bizye

Who they were

At Bizye in Thrace, now in Turkey, Saint Severus, martyr, who, in the time of Diocletian and Maximian, longing for the palm of the martyrs, is held to have brought the centurion Saint Memnon to the faith and to have followed him in the glorious trial.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 23 July as a martyr at Bizye in Thrace who is held to have converted the centurion Saint Memnon and followed him in the glorious trial.
