Who they were

Pasquali was a priest of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions who worked among the villages around Eluru in Andhra Pradesh and founded the Catechist Sisters of St Ann. It gives his death as 7 July 1924; the Hagiography Circle gives 17 December 1924, and the Catholic source has been followed.

The miracles

No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.

Why that counted as sanctity

The congregation's own site calls him Servant of God and says the beatification process was begun through the diocese of Eluru after his writings were traced in the PIME archives in 2013.

The cause

Silvio Pasquali is named a Servant of God; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: The cause of Silvio Pasquali.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
