Who they were
Simon Kim Gye-wan was one of the martyrs of Korea. The list of the Korean martyrs published by the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints records that he was killed at Seoul on 29 January 1802; he was beatified on 16 August 2014 by Pope Francis.
