Soledad Torres Acosta

Who they were
Bibiana Antonia Manuela Torres Acosta was born in Madrid on 2 December 1826 to a family of modest means. Wishing to consecrate herself to God, she asked to join the Dominican nuns but was turned away: the convent was full.
From youth she showed extraordinary care for the sick poor, and nursed them with tireless self-denial, above all in the Servants of Mary, Ministers of the Sick, which she founded.
