Who they were
At Obazine near Limoges in Aquitaine, in France, Saint Stephen, first abbot of the local monastery, who, in search of God, joined to the Cistercian Order the three monasteries he had founded.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 8 March as the first abbot of Obazine who joined his three monasteries to the Cistercian Order.
