Who they were
Szilárd Ignác Bogdánffy was born on 21 February 1911 at Feketetó, then in Hungary and now in Romania, went to school with the Piarists at Timișoara and studied theology in Budapest, being ordained on 29 June 1934 and taking a doctorate.
Auxiliary bishop of Oradea for the Latins, under the communist regime's campaign against the Church he was arrested and died of privation in prison in 1953.
