Who they were
At Borgo Sant'Antonio, near Ivrea, in Piedmont, the passing of Blessed Thaddeus McCarthy, bishop of Cork and Cloyne in Ireland, who left his see because of the troubles caused by the hostility of the powerful and, while travelling to Rome, passed to heaven.
