Who they were
Teresa Bracco was born at Dego, near Savona, on 24 February 1924, sixth of seven children of a deeply devout family, and worked in the fields.
Strengthened by daily Communion and deep devotion to the Virgin Mother of God, at twenty, during the Second World War, she chose to die rather than yield to a soldier who attacked her, keeping faith with Christ as she had often resolved to do.
