Who they were
Ternan was a bishop of the Picts in the sixth century, probably a contemporary of St Serf. Much of his history is obscure.
A Gospel of St Matthew that belonged to him was kept in a book-shrine of silver and gold.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
