Who they were
Theodore, a Greek of Jerusalem and son of a bishop, became pope in 642.
Throughout his pontificate he fought the Monothelite heresy, refusing to recognise an uncanonical patriarch of Constantinople and urging the emperor to withdraw his heretical decree. He died in 649.

The Catholic Encyclopedia does not describe how he came to be honoured as a saint.
