Who they were
At Antioch in Syria, Saint Theodoret, priest and martyr, who, as tradition says, was arrested by the impious Julian, emperor of the East, for persevering in professing his faith in Christ, and was finally led to martyrdom.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 23 October as a priest of Antioch who, tradition says, was martyred under Julian.
