Who they were

Thomas-Jean Monsaint was born in the diocese of Bayeux, curate of the parish of Saint-Roch in Paris, according to the papal letter that beatified him.

He was killed in Paris in September 1792, one of 191 priests, religious and laymen put to death in hatred of the faith for refusing the oath that the revolutionary government demanded of the clergy. Pius XI declared them Blessed on 17 October 1926.
