Trankwilin Ubiarco Robles
Feast: 5 October (not on the universal Roman calendar; kept in the Roman Martyrology or local calendars)
Who they were
Tranquilino Ubiarco Robles was born at Zapotlán el Grande, Jalisco, on 8 July 1899, and served as acting parish priest of Tepatitlán. Nothing stopped him in the years of persecution: he took the Eucharist to people's homes and sustained their Christian life.
In October 1928 he went to Guadalajara to buy what was needed for Mass, though warned his area was one of the most dangerous. He was one of the 25 martyrs of the Mexican persecution, led by St Cristóbal Magallanes, most of them priests killed for exercising their ministry.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
A priest who carried the Eucharist from house to house under persecution.
