Who they were
At Nicosia on the island of Cyprus, Saint Triphyllius, bishop, who strenuously defended the true faith of Nicaea and, as Saint Jerome states, was the most eloquent speaker of his time and an extraordinary commentator on the Song of Songs.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 13 June as a bishop in Cyprus who defended the faith of Nicaea and was praised by Saint Jerome for his eloquence.
