Who they were
Trudo, son of Blessed Adela, devoted himself to God from youth and was educated at Metz. After ordination he preached the Gospel in his native Hesbaye and built a church at Sarchinium, blessed about 656.
Disciples gathered and an abbey grew there, later called Saint-Trond. He also founded a convent for women near Bruges. He died in 693 or 698.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
