Who they were
At Astorga in the kingdom of the Suevi, also in Spain, Saint Turibius, bishop, who, at the command of Pope Saint Leo the Great, worked to combat vigorously the sect of the Priscillianists which was spreading in Spain.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 16 April as a bishop of Astorga who, at Pope Leo the Great's command, fought the Priscillianists.
