Spanish farmer, father of ten and secular Discalced Carmelite
Who they were
Born at Quintanadiez de la Vega in Palencia and married in 1948 to María Asunción Merino, with whom he had ten children, he worked as a farmer and belonged to the Secular Discalced Carmelites, the Congregation of St Philip Neri, the Cursillos and Nocturnal Adoration, and was known for his care of the poor and the sick. The diocese of Palencia gives his death as 21 February 2012, where the Hagiography Circle has 12 February.

Why that counted as sanctity
Cardinal Ricardo Blázquez of Valladolid sent the request for the nihil obstat to Rome on 21 November 2019 and opened the first session of the diocesan process on 18 December 2021 at the Discalced Carmelite convent of La Rondilla in Valladolid.
