Vittorio Faccin

Who they were

Vittorio Faccin was born at Villaverla, near Vicenza in Italy, on 4 January 1934, entered the Xaverian Missionaries in 1950 and made religious profession on 8 December 1952. Sent to the mission of Baraka in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1959, he made perpetual profession as a brother on 8 December 1962 and was killed at Baraka on 28 November 1964; Pope Francis beatified him on 18 August 2024.
