Who they were

Born at Corato in Italy, he professed as a Redemptorist in 1852, was ordained in 1857, and worked in Colombia, Spain, Argentina and finally Montevideo, where he died on 10 January 1916; his remains were moved in 1938 to the shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help there.

The miracles

No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Redemptorist account records that the church authorities and the superiors of the congregation introduced his beatification process, and the informative process was opened at Montevideo in November 1951.

The cause

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. If you know the postulation’s own page, tell us and it will be added here.
