Who they were
At Foix in Narbonensis Gaul, in present-day France, the passing of Saint Volusianus, bishop of Tours, who, captured by the Goths, gave up his spirit to God in exile.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 18 January as a bishop of Tours who died in exile after being captured by the Goths.
