Who they were
At Roermond on the Meuse in Brabant in Austrasia, in the territory of the present-day Netherlands, Saint Wera, who together with his companions Plechelm and Otger is believed to have worked for the evangelisation of this region.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 8 May as one believed to have evangelised the Roermond region with Plechelm and Otger.
