Who they were
William Pinchon, Bishop of St-Brieuc in Brittany, regarded himself as the father of the poor and afflicted of his diocese.
He defended the rights of the clergy and was banished by the powerful, helping the sick Bishop of Poitiers until his return in 1230. He began building a cathedral and died in 1234.
