Who they were

A religious of the Congregation of the Passion, born at Cintruénigo in the diocese of Pamplona and Tudela and professed on 23 October 1935, he belonged to the community of Daimiel and was shot with his brethren on 23 July 1936. He was beatified on 1 October 1989 by John Paul II, among Nicéforo Díez Tejerina and twenty-five companions of the Congregation of the Passion.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology names him among the Passionist martyrs of Spain.
