Who they were
Zeno probably governed the Church of Verona from 362 to 380. St Ambrose speaks of him as a bishop of holy memory, and St Gregory the Great records a miracle at his church.
The basilica of San Zeno at Verona and some thirty churches honour him. He is in the Roman Martyrology on 12 April.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
A holy bishop and patron of Verona.
