Who they were
Amado García Sánchez was a priest of the Congregation of the Mission, born at Moscardón near Teruel on 29 April 1903 and ordained on 2 May 1926. He was shot at Ciares, near Gijón, on 24 October 1936. Pope Francis beatified him on 13 October 2013, among the martyrs of Fortunato Velasco Tobar and thirteen companions of the Congregation of the Mission.
