Who they were
Anatolius was one of the foremost scholars of his day in the sciences and philosophy. During the siege of the Bruchium quarter of Alexandria he arranged with the besiegers to let the women, children, old and sick escape, saving many innocent lives.
On his way to Laodicea he was seized by the people and made their bishop. He wrote on arithmetic and on the date of Easter.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
