Who they were
Andrés María Solé Rovira was born on 23 January 1918 in the town of Vendrell near Tarragona and took temporary vows in 1935; at the time of his martyrdom he had begun the course in philosophy with a view to the priesthood.
He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, among Ángel María Prat Hostench and his sixteen companions of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, killed in 1936.
