Who they were
Anna Maria Giannetti was born at Siena on 29 May 1769 to apothecaries who lost their fortune and moved to Rome when she was five. On 7 January 1789 she married Domenico Taigi, a servant of the Chigi family, and lived happily with him for forty-eight years.
One day, kneeling with her husband at the Confessio in St Peter's, she felt a strong inspiration to give up the small vanities she allowed herself and listen to grace. A wife and mother, she became a Trinitarian tertiary and lived a hidden life of prayer and charity. She died in Rome on 9 June 1837.
The miracles
He is honoured as Blessed by long-standing veneration; the Catholic Encyclopedia does not describe a formal cause.
