Who they were

Vincenzo Maria Strambi was born at Civitavecchia on 1 January 1745, where his father kept a pharmacy, and against his father's resistance entered the seminary of Montefiascone in 1762. He became a Passionist.

On 5 July 1801 he was named Bishop of Macerata and Tolentino, which he governed with holiness, and for his fidelity to the Pope he suffered exile. He died of a stroke on 1 January 1824, the day he was born.
