Priest of the Fraternity of Diocesan Worker Priests of the Sacred Heart, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
Aquilino Pastor Cambero was born at Zarza de Granadilla on 4 January 1911, entered the Fraternity's house of probation in 1934 and was ordained priest in the cathedral of Plasencia on 25 August 1935, spending his single year of ministry as prefect and teacher in the seminary at Baeza; he was killed at Úbeda on 28 August 1936, cheerful to the end and proclaiming Christ the King. He was beatified on 30 October 2021 by Pope Francis among Francisco Cástor Sojo López and three companions.
