Who they were
Francisco Cástor Sojo López was born at Madrigalejo on 28 March 1881, was ordained priest at Plasencia on 19 December 1903 and gave his life to forming future priests at Plasencia, Badajoz, Segovia, Astorga and Ciudad Real; he was shot at Ciudad Real during the night between 12 and 13 September 1936. He was beatified on 30 October 2021 by Pope Francis among Francisco Cástor Sojo López and three companions.
