Bernardyna Maria Jabłońska

Who they were
Maria Jabłońska was born on 5 August 1878 at Pizuny, in the parish of Lipsko, Poland. At eighteen she joined the community founded by St Brother Albert Chmielowski to serve the neediest and most abandoned.
As Sister Bernardina she became co-foundress of the Albertine Sisters Servants of the Poor and secured the congregation's legal footing. Always ready for the poor and the sick, she died in Kraków on 23 September 1940, leaving her sisters the words 'Do good to everyone'.
