The Roman Martyrology for 26 July names him at Lancaster in England with Robert Nutter, of the Order of Preachers, as priests and martyrs who after long labours in the Lord's vineyard were condemned for their priesthood and suffered a glorious martyrdom under Queen Elizabeth I. He was beatified on 22 November 1987 by John Paul II, among George Haydock and eighty-four companions, martyrs of England, Wales and Scotland.
