Eleuterio Marne Mansilla

Who they were

Eleuterio Marne Mansilla was born at Gusendos de los Oteros in the diocese and province of León on 17 February 1909 and at the age of twenty-two, after a Redemptorist mission in his parish, decided to enter the Order of Saint Dominic, making his first vows on 28 March 1933. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI among the martyrs of the cause of Enrique Izquierdo Palacios and thirteen companions of the Order of Preachers.

The Dicastery records that a parish mission led him at twenty-two to enter the Order of Saint Dominic.
