Elzéar of Sabran

Who they were
Elzéar, born in Provence in 1285, married Delphine of Glandèves, respected her wish to live in virginity, and with her joined the Third Order of St Francis, rivalling her in prayer, mortification and charity. He made his household a model of Christian life.
He won over his Italian subjects by kindness, became tutor and later chief minister to Duke Charles of Calabria, and in 1323 went as ambassador to France, edifying a worldly court. He died in Paris on 27 September 1323.
The miracles
The decree of his canonisation was signed by his godson Pope Urban V and published by Gregory XI; the Catholic Encyclopedia gives no date.
