Who they were
Estanislao de Jesús Peña Ojea, in the world Isidorus Valentinus, was born at Talavera de la Reina near Toledo on 4 April 1907 and made temporary vows in the Hospitaller Order of St John of God on 26 June 1926; he returned to secular life in May 1932, entered the Order again the following November and renewed his temporary profession on 8 June 1934. He is named in the decree on the martyrdom of Mauricio Íñiguez de Heredia Alzóla and twenty-three companions of the Order, killed between 1936 and 1937, and he was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
