Who they were
Florentina was the sister of three Spanish bishops, Sts Leander, Isidore and Fulgentius; all four are honoured as saints. Under Leander's influence she consecrated her virginity to God and gathered a community of virgins.
Leander wrote for her a rule of life for nuns, and Isidore dedicated a work to her. She died about 612 and was honoured as a saint after her death.

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
