Florida Cevoli

Who they were
Lucrezia Elena Cevoli was born at Pisa on 11 November 1685, daughter of a count. At eighteen, in 1703, she entered the Capuchin Poor Clares of Città di Castello, where her novice mistress was St Veronica Giuliani; she took the name Florida at her profession in 1705.
Though covered with sores over her whole body, she carried out her duties with energy and was known for her strength of character and gift for governing.
