Why that counted as sanctity
The Congregation of the Sisters of the Most Holy Name of Jesus was founded in 1887 by Blessed Honorat Koźmiński in response to the suppression of religious orders in the Russian partition of Poland, and the Polish Catholic weekly Niedziela names Franciszka Maria Witkowska as its co-foundress and a Servant of God; the sisters worked first among women handworkers and later ran schools, hostels, nurseries and children's homes. Her cause received the nihil obstat on 23 March 1996, the diocesan inquiry ran in Warsaw from 12 October 1996 to 6 September 2001 and was declared valid on 22 November 2002.
