Dominican priest, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
Born at Castromocho in the province of Palencia on 11 October 1880, he taught at Corias and La Coruña and was then sent to Central America, where he spent more than twenty years; back in Spain he was imprisoned at Reinosa and taken to the Montes de Saja, where he was killed between 21 and 22 October 1936. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI with Enrique Izquierdo Palacios and 13 companions of the Order of Preachers.
