Who they were
At Piacenza, Blessed Giovanni Battista Scalabrini, bishop, who worked by every means for his Church and shone for his care for priests, farmers and workers; in particular, he had at heart the emigrants in the cities of America, for whom he founded the Congregations of the Missionaries and of the Missionary Sisters of Saint Charles.
