Who they were
Born on 14 April 1913, he was a Discalced Carmelite studying theology; he had made his solemn profession and received the minor orders only a few days before he was killed. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI with Eusebio del Niño Jesús (in the world Ovidio Fernández Arenillas) and 15 companions of the Order of Discalced Carmelites.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The decree on martyrdom records him among the Discalced Carmelites of the 1936 persecution in Spain, killed a few days after his solemn profession.
