Who they were

Ireneo Rodríguez González was a priest of the Congregation of the Mission, born at Los Balbases near Burgos on 10 February 1879 and ordained on 1 November 1903. He was shot inside the prison at Guadalajara on 6 December 1936. Pope Francis beatified him on 13 October 2013, among the martyrs of Fortunato Velasco Tobar and thirteen companions of the Congregation of the Mission.
