John Dominici

Who they were
John Dominici, born in Florence in 1356, was refused by the Dominicans for a speech impediment until he was cured through St Catherine of Siena's intercession. He preached and taught in Venice and founded convents of strict observance.
As confessor to Gregory XII and a cardinal, he read the Pope's resignation at the Council of Constance to end the Great Schism. He died at Buda on 10 July 1420 while legate against the Hussites.
